What is the future of robotics?

Discovery School

I think the future with robots will help out a lot with stuff like flying a plane and shop keeping. But if that happens it will be hard to get a job, but why would you need a job if you can send your robot to do the job.

Everyday Robots

Discovery School

Robots are everywhere. They are used in restaurants in Japan to chop sushi, they are used by police to investigate dangerous buildings (e.g. if there is a bomb), they are used to distribute medicine to patients around a hospital, they are used in California as a teaching assistant and they can even be a vacuum cleaner that remembers the layout of your home. The possibilities are endless, who knows, next they could be serving you your burger in a automated MacDonalds!

A.I. (Artificial Intelligence)

Discovery School

Artificial Intelligence has been an idea for a very long time, but it only recently that they have actually started working. An A.I. is a computer than can evolve it's own knowledge and code, depending on it's experience and environment. Some examples of A.I are Siri, Google Home and Amazon Alexa. They still can't do nearly as much as they might be able to do in the future, but they can be developed (hopefully).

Driverless cars

Discovery School

Driverless cars have finally been invented, but it will be a while until we are able to buy them. They are fully automatic (even though you can also manually take over) and can detect anything that a driver can, and when they are released they will be totally safe. There has even been driverless cars on the roads today, but they are still being developed and tested. They can detect a person walking onto the road, a car stopping in front of them, or anything else happening. Some people believe they are unsafe, but I believe they can work.
