It is true that robots can do more precise movements which means that smaller cuts, which could be life-saving for the animals under surgery, as they generally have smaller organs than us, meaning that if a cut is too large, it can lead to that organ failing. On the other hand, it would allow a smaller cut to be made to insert the robot, which could result in less blood loss and a decrease in the likely hood of the wound getting infection, making it more likely for the animal to survive. Although there are many benefits of robotic surgery, there are also some negatives. For example, if the arm jammed, then it would be extremely hard to loosen them again without harming the tissues.
